Free Viking show

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know about a free viking show which is taking place this weekend in Timperley (this is very close to Chorlton and South Manchester).

The show is part of the Altrincham Festival and takes place at the Timperley showgrounds on Saturday 2nd July. The Viking display starts at 1:30pm but there are other events beforehand.

I thought this might be a fun chance for you to see some ‘real life’ (of course it is people just pretending) vikings battling and there is even a chance for you to join in!

For more information about the Altrincham Festival, visit this website.

Have fun and tell us all about it if you go! 🙂

Time Team

Today, we spent the day working with Brian, our artist in residence. He used our topic of Village Settlers to inspire some archaelogical work.
We explored the woods in the school grounds for evidence of humans. We collected objects and documented our findings for a museum exhibition (in our school). Finally, we used the objects as inspiration for some creative writing.
It was a fantastic day with plenty of sunshine and lots of smiles!

Annecy town centre

Here are some photos of the town centre in Annecy. It is very different to the streets of Chorlton, or even Manchester for that matter!

French Footy Fun Trip – City of Manchester Stadium

French Footy Fun (City of Manchester Stadium) on PhotoPeach

On Thursday 18th November we went to the City of Manchester Stadium to practise some of our French language skills.

As part of our exciting tour we were able to see the pitch, changing rooms and the press conference room. Throughout the morning we had chance to use our knowledge of French greetings, numbers, colours and body parts. It was a great day and we all really enjoyed it.

Merci beaucoup to Madame Utting for arranging the day.
